Whoever thought of Giving Tuesday as the first Tuesday after Thanksgiving definitely has the right idea. After Black Friday, and Cyber Monday, where we become obsessed with consuming material things, having a day to intentionally celebrate giving back sets the tone for the new year ahead. Author and psychologist Tara Brach talks about generosity and gratitude as natural capacities that allow us to live fully. The two are interconnected, and being generous often leads to eliciting gratitude in others as much as learning to be thankful for what we have. As we gave thanks during the Thanksgiving holiday, we also want to continue the warm feelings of gratitude and generosity throughout the year so we asked ourselves: What do you think is the key to living a grateful life? Check out our answers as well as the non-profits that are dear to our hearts below!
